Relaxed, weird hair type, getting very damaged i think.. Always frizzy, now that I do it myself most

Been relaxing it for 11 years; every 2 months for the past 6/7 years. It gets very silky for the first couple days after I get it done at the salon (wash, rollers, hair dryer, blow dry); gets thicker and stiffer as it gets greasier; it used to air dry big/frizzy and curly but not shiny, very dull. Its a couple inches past my shoulders.

now i'm in college and there are no dominican or black salons around here so i brought my own rollers and small hairdryer. but a lot of times i end up air drying it and blow drying it str8 afterwards.

It ALWAYS ends up frizzy now even when i do do rollers and go under the dryer. but the 1st few inches from my roots down (i guess what is recently relaxed) dries str8 and not at all frizzy, but the rest is frizzy. and it no longer gets big when I air dry. the middle section gets curly/dull/a little frizzy. I'm guessing the heat has been damaging it.

But what products can I use to fix it or to make it come out less frizzy after i wash, dry and blowdry?

Hi,

Try conditioning it once in a while.

Also see if you can't get a detangling conditioner. After you wash your hair, apply that and rinse off. I usually dont use a dryer. Just dry my hair with a towel, apply hair oil and make a plait. Makes my hair less damaged by heat and still not frizzed.

All the best

find a local salon that sells matrix sleek look products.
